Jesus: The alpha and the omega

In Revelation, we are told that Jesus is the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end. For some reason, I have never thought too much about what it meant until yesterday. Jesus the Word was in the beginning with God and was God (John 1:1). Jesus began a relationship with us if we choose through his blood on the cross. According to Phil. 1:6, Jesus began a good work in me which he will finish/perfect in His day. He will finish off sin, death and all pain. In the end, it will be Jesus.

Jesus, Thank you for beginning a good work in me. Help me to be faithful to this work. Thank you that you will be with me through ups and downs and good and bad times. You are the author and finisher of my faith. Amen
