Merry Christmas from Bamian

As I write this, I am waiting on Noel to fly Winter and David to our new home and city.  It will be be so good for our family to be together for almost three weeks.  I hope this post finds you enjoying your Christmas season and being able to connect with those around you.  It would be so great to sit down with some hot chocolate and just chat about how your year has gone. I don’t know if we tell you often enough how much we appreciate your prayers and support.  Thank you.

Last week the younger class at school studied Christmas in a different country every day.  For Mexico, they went to each room asking if there was room in the inn.  Afterwards, they acted out the Christmas story with each character telling his or her part of story.  We then had tacos for lunch which was a fun treat.

On Wednesday, we gathered for supper as a team to say good bye to two of our team mates who are heading back to the states.  After supper, the children put on a Christmas program followed by some Christmas caroling and fun treats.  Our lead teacher did a great job of organizing the program and helping the children learn their songs.  She is one of our teammates that is heading back to the states and will be missed. (Thankfully we have another teacher to replace her that will be a good fit for our school.)

Many blessings to you.  Teresa for the Fouts Family.
