Reading the Instruction Manual

img_0359Are you the type of person that reads the instruction manual when you buy something new?  Or do you like to use good ol’ trial and error to figure out your new gadget?  Well there is definitely room for both types of people in the world.  However, when it comes to flying and fixing airplanes, its probably a good idea to read the manual.   That’s exactly what I’ve been doing the past two weeks.  I’ve read both the operations manual and the service manual from cover to cover for the Cessna 200 series aircraft.   I’ve also been reading MAF’s own policy and procedure manual.  And I just finished taking written exams on both.  It may sound a little extreme, but that’s how seriously MAF values safety and flying with excellence.

You know – God gave us an instruction manual for life – called the Bible.  I am convicted now more than ever that I need to continually meditate and read it.  Not only does it contain great wisdom about how best to live our lives, but it also reveals much about the wonder and person of our Creator and the extent of His love for us.  – Noel

  1. Thanks for the reminder, Son. I know you are right. My struggle is to consistently do what I know is best.
