As many of you celebrate the 4th of July today, we thought we would share a few pictures of our team celebrating freedom. On Thursday (our Saturday) , we gathered at a team house and enjoyed an afternoon of eating pizza and ice cream and just enjoying the outdoors. It is always good to be reminded where ever you live that freedom is not something to be taken for granted. We are also thankful that the freedom God gives is available not matter what country you live in.
Here is Noel holding Hadia. Many of you will remember that Hadia was born in Tajikistan to our teammates Chris and Chandra. We can’t believe how big she has grown.
Below is Winter with our friend Eli who was also with us and his mom and dad in Tajikistan learning language. He is expecting a brother or sister this summer. According to Eli, it will be a sister.
The last two photos were fun shots. The pizza shots were Jim and Daniel. I thought you would enjoy of picture of the pizza oven. It is a Non Tandoor oven that has been converted. The other shot is of our friend Mark and Eli on a Rip Stik. This fun toy is very popular among foreign kids here. Winter and David don’t have one but have learned to ride their friends’. Even the adults sometimes take a try at it.
