Since my last update, we have added a new family member. In May on a beautiful spring day, our daughter, Winter married Nathan Paul. We are blessed to have Nathan as part of our family. His family has been good friends of ours for many years so we not only consider him family but also his mom, dad, and brother. We love Nathan’s heart for God, our daughter, and all people. We are excited to see how God uses Winter and Nathan in the years to come.
Family and friends came from all over the United States to be a part of the event. We enjoyed catching up with our siblings, parents, and long time friends. We are so thankful for all the people near and far that have been a part of helping these two start off well.
Nathan and Winter are living in Riverside, CA. They are blessed to be a part of good church and have a fun group of friends. Nathan is working as a salesman for a security system company, and Winter will be starting a new job August 1st as sign language interpreter for three colleges near her.
What about David? David is staying with friends in Texas and working at a Nike store. This past weekend he was able to shoot a wedding for some friends from his boarding school. It was a great way for him to get some experience plus spend time with some of his dorm brothers. In August, he will be back in California starting his second year at California Baptist University.
What about Noel? Rainy season brings more challenging weather for flying. This often means extra flexibility and wisdom in figuring out how to get his passengers safely where they need to go. As always, Noel does a great job of doing that. (Of course, I might be a little biased.) Noel also has an aviation intern from Liberty University for the summer. Noel is enjoying mentoring Tom whose future goal is mission aviation. Tom is staying with us for the summer in our extra room. I am trying not to mother him too much.
What about Teresa? In June, I finished up my school year and have been enjoying my summer break. My days are spent reading, working on projects such as new kitchen curtains, finishing up an online course, and sometimes cooking fun goodies for the guys. I have also enjoy time with friends. This week the aviation wives were able to go out for lunch and shopping for some “lappa” (what they call the fabric here.) I will start back up August first with some planning and gradually add students to the mix as the month goes along.
What about you? How is your summer going? Let us know here in the comments or through our email.
